Weber Motor MPE-850 gewinnt den SEMA GLOBAL MEDIA AWARD

(Las Vegas, NV, USA) – November 6, 2008 –  Weber Automotive was recognized today with the SEMA Global Media Award for it’s entry in the “Best New Engineered Products” category with the MPE-850 High Performance Four Stroke Engine.  The Global Media Award is determined by an international voting panel of journalists from 25 countries that reviewed over 2,000 new product entries premiering at SEMA Show 2008.  They selected the products that are most likely to have a significant impact and commercial success.

Dan Schroepfer, Director of Marketing and Sales for Weber Automotive, commented  “This is quite an honor and a significant recognition that our next generation twin cylinder platform is truly industry leading!”  He added that  “The new Weber Motor MPE-850 offers a higher level of functional integration and a design and manufacturing process that offers the same amazing hp/weight ratio in a compact package as the venerable MPE-750 and at highly competitive pricing.

The MPE-850 is a twin cylinder engine featuring an overhead cam, 4 valve per cylinder head and comes in naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions ranging from 50 to 120hp.  It provides clean, reliable four stroke gasoline power in automobile, hybrid, marine, industrial and powersports applications including ATVs, UTVs, side x sides, personal watercraft, snowmobiles and motorcycles.  Initial production delivery commences in second quarter 2009.
